You know the rooms of a hotel are going to be fabulous when the sconces look like something out of a Burmese palace...

... and the lobby bathroom fit for royalty.

Indeed, here was our bedroom, overlooking the Mandalay Bay Beach.

Hey, I have a pen just like that one in my purse!

Hotel Room Tour: Grand Canyon Yavapai Lodge

It had a cabiny feel.

With a flat screen TV that reminded us of the world away from the Grand Canyon.

The room was very basic. Rustic at best.

But they had plenty of towels, which is always a good thing.

And footprint friendly to the environment.

I didn't use the soap, but I brought it home.

You can't tell from the picture, but the middle of the soap is hollow.

We had brunch here (thanks Cousin Jess!). We waited in line for more than an hour. By the time we got in, it became well worth the wait because we were starving.
